Commissary

COMMISSARY:

No offender is allowed to possess money while in confinement.

Offenders are provided meals, certain personal items, and clothing.

Grocery items, personal hygiene items and other goods can be purchased by offenders from facility commissaries.

Payment for commissary items is completed by transferring funds from the offender's trust fund account to a commissary account.

The offender may spend up to $85.00 on ordinary merchandise every two weeks.

However, this amount may be less as determined by the offender's custody status.

The limit does not apply to special items such as radios, some clothing items, fans, or watches.

These special purchase items are made especially for an institutional environment.

They must be bought directly from the commissary by the offender for the offender's personal use.
