October 5th, 2004 To TPNS Dear WebMaster, Yes you can sign me up. I owe you guys my life, so I will help out anyway I can. I always read what you guys send me and not to long ago I almost died. I am a single mother of 4 children and I have a very busy life but about 6 months ago my right leg started to swell and turn purple I knew something was wrong but I just let it go. But then I remember the story of Hollywood and how he had a blood clot and I thought to myself maybe that is what I have so I made a visit to my doctor and told me to go out to the hospital so I did. When I got out there they said they were going to do a sono of my right leg and see if in fact it was a blood clot like I thought. They did the sono and sure enough it was a blood clot but they found it very strange that I knew what was wrong before they did. The blood clot was in the groin area of my leg and it had grew to be about the size of a grape fruit they started shooting stuff into my belly to try to break the blood clot up and it had done very little for the blood clot so they was going to try putting cath in my leg running up to the blood clot it self and giving me blood clot busting meds through that. Well everything seemed to be going well until that evening. I remember some of the events but not all because I almost died that night in ICU. I remember pushing the call button for my nurse and telling her I was having trouble breathing she started the oxygen but it still did not work, I eventually blacked out and from then on I only have been told what had happened because I did not remember. They said that they had to resuscitate me several times. They finally sent me for a complete cat scan and out there was a blood clot on the outside of my right lung and that was why I could not stay breathing on my own. I eventually pulled out of it all and I have been slowly getting my memory back since then. When I woke up I knew that there was something wrong my mom was there with my kids but I honestly did not recognize any of them I could not tell you my kids name that was how bad of a memory lose I had. I still have blood clots that I am dealing with even today but I am on meds to thin out my blood and I will have to take the medication until I die, the sad part of this all is I lost all of my kids to the state because they figured with my health the way it was and will always be I can not take care of 4 kids. I fought until the day they took me to court and severed my parental rights, I might have lost them to the court but I will never give up on having them back in my home. I am having a hard time dealing with the everyday meds they have me on but I will have to get use to get because I am only 24 years old and I do not plan on dying anytime time soon, I still have 4 kids to take care even though they are not with me now. I again think you guys for Hollywood's story because I would not have figured it out on my own so I thank you guys. Forever Grateful,
